As the second batch of construction units of National Clinical Research Base of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the hospital has obtained 21 key disciplines at all levels, including 14 related disciplines of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM). It has a high-level innovation team in colleges and universities of education department of Zhejiang province, and it has established three-level immunization laboratory of National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (NATCM) scientific research, Zhejiang provincial male laboratory of Integrated TCM and WM, Zhejiang provincial metabolic osteopathy laboratory of Integrated TCM and WM , male urology research institute at school level and Central Laboratory of hospital, etc.

In the past ten years, our hospital has obtained 542 vertical projects of all levels and types, including 42 national projects; 68 provincial and ministerial projects, including 1 Major Project and 1 key research and development plan; vertical scientific research funds are 69.1634 million yuan. The hospital won one national award, and the research results of the Rheumatic immune disease team led by Professor Fan Yongsheng won the second prize of national scientific and technological progress in 2011; 15 provincial and ministerial awards.

The hospital has published 237 SCI papers and 393 domestic I-level journal papers; obtained 40 patents for invention and new technology; 23 textbooks and works has published .
